Denise Peacock is the Manager of Foster Care Recruitment and Retention at Wellroot Family Services; her employment journey with the agency begian when they were known as the United Methodist Children’s Home and providing primarily group care. Denise’s career spans over 25 years in child welfare and includes positions in intake, case management, and supervision. However, for the past twelve+ years she has spent her time in recruitment and training. In her current position, Denise oversees the recruitment, training, and licensing of foster homes in forty counties. She is passionate about encouraging families to consider fostering and supporting them in this journey. Denise holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from LaGrange College, is a long-time IMPACT trainer, and is a certified SAFE supervisor. In her free time, she enjoys spending time relaxing with her family, friends, and grandchildren!
